Principal’s Message – October 8th

By Newsletters

Good Afternoon OES Families,

It’s already the second week of October and we are busy here at OES.

Thank you to everyone who have donated  items for our school kit drive for Africa.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.  Please see the attached flyer:

This week is our Box Top Drive.  Don’t forget to check the expiration date on your box tops when you send them in.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week.  We will focus on making good choices and not doing drugs.  Each day there there will be a visible message to remind us the importance of staying away from drugs:

Monday: My future’s too bright to do drugs.  Wear neon or white and sunglasses.

Tuesday: I mustache you to not do drugs.  Mustaches, beards, or red. Student council will face paint mustaches at lunchtime.

Wednesday: Drugs are crazy!  Crazy socks and hair day.

Family Skate night is Monday, October 15, 2018.  Please see attached flyer.

Don’t forget that Fall Break is soon.  There will be no school Oct. 18 – 22, 2018.  Enjoy the break and the beautiful fall weather.

There is plenty of time to participate in Reflections.  Rules and entry forms are in the front hall. All entries are due Oct. 26, 2018. Please see attached flyer.

Please remember that there are no masks or weapons when dressing up for Halloween at school.  Thank you for your support with this matter.

Thank you so much for all you do for your children.  If you didn’t get a chance to meet with your child’s teachers, please don’t hesitate to contact them to visit about your child’s progress.

Have a great week!
