12/14/2020

Dear OES Families,

We are into the final week of school before Christmas Break.  Here are a few reminders:

This Thursday, December 17th, we will be having a Christmas Mask contest.  Students can wear their favorite Christmas mask, decorate one or add decorations to one they already have. It can be silly, festive and/or original.  Each class will vote for the top 2 masks in each classroom.  Student council will bring awards around.

Friday, December 18th is a minimal day.

Breakfast and lunch will be served.

School will be shortened for grades 1st – 6th.  Preschool and Kindergarten students will not come to school, but will have opportunities via email optional at-home activities developed by the district curriculum department.

The schedule for students in grades 1st – 6th is as follows:

Early Birds – 8:00am – 11:30am

Later Gators – 9:15 – 12:45pm

Our Spelling Bee is coming up.  Please see the attached list so your student can practice over the break if they want to participate.

The Christmas Break will begin 12/21/20 and we will resume school on Monday January 4, 2021.

On January 5th, 2021 we will have a spirit night at Chick-Fil-A.  The PTA will have more information.

I will be sending another email this week that will contain the grade level performances of our Christmas Carols.  We would like to extend a BIG thank you to Mrs. Hancock, Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Rindlesbacher for their expertise in helping us make this happen.

Have a great week, please let me know if you have any questions or need anything.
