Mission Statement

Our mission at OES is to nurture in all students the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that empower them socially, emotionally, and academically through “The Cub Way”.

The Cub Way

Respect – is to honor and to show consideration and value to people, property, the environment, and yourself.
Self-Mastery – is being aware of your feelings and actions and responding appropriately.
Compassion – is caring about others and showing you care with kindness and concern.
Resilience – is the ability to handle stress positively and bounce back from hard things by trying again.

Our vision is to develop confident, respectful, safe, and connected students who strive for academic excellence.

Goals

Orem Elementary students will increase in literacy proficiency from BOY (beginning of year) to EOY (end of year). The assessment measures will be determined by each individual team.
ELL students will increase in literacy growth from BOY (beginning of the year) to EOY (end of year). The assessment measures will be determined by each individual team.
Increase student connection with a focus on monthly school values. Students will internalize school values (the cub way), creating positive relationships with their peers and staff.
