This is a quick reminder that students will not have school the upcoming Monday, March 15, 2021.
When we come back to school on Tuesday, we will begin our Hope Week. Mrs. Giles and our Jr. Hope Squad have some great activities planned.

Remember this Friday, March 5th, 2021 students will not have school.
March 2nd – Dr. Suess’ Birthday – Celebration of Read-A-Thon minutes
Battle of the Books will begin March 8th – Good luck to all of our students who will be battling.
March 15th – Professional Development for teachers, NO SCHOOL for students.
March 16th – March 19th – Hope Week
March 22nd – March 26th – White Ribbon Week
March 30th – March 31st – Kindergarten Registration
This is a busy month. Thank you for all your support you give to your children and our teachers.

Dear OES Families,
We have some exciting news! Today is Truffula Tree and Utah Truffles at our school. Each class has read enough minutes that each class has earned their Truffula Tree for reading.
Also, even more exciting, The company who makes Utah Truffles has given us a generous donation.
Mrs. Jensen’s 6th grade classes usually write to local businesses and ask them to send donations to their classroom to fill the vending machine they have in class. This year is no exception, except the donation was so generous that we can share with our families.
Please see the attached flyer for more information about the donation and our chivalry challenge.
We are hoping to flood our social media pages with stories, pictures and acts of kindness and hope with this challenge.
We are excited to see all of the wonderful acts of kindness that we can bring to others outside our school.

Good Afternoon OES Families,
This is a quiet week, but we have a few reminders for our community.
First of all, I want to make sure that our families know that there will be no school for students on March 5, 2021.
In person registration for Kindergarten is March 30th and 31st, 2021. If you choose to register online, you can start registering any time now.
Tonight is our Family Skate Night at Classic Skating. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Also, we are still reading for our Read-A-Thon, results come out every Tuesday. Encourage your family and friends to read, read, read!!!! We have some avid readers out there.
Finally, we have a special announcement and item coming home on Wednesday. I will send out an email Wednesday morning concerning this positive Orem Elementary community event. We can’t wait to see the results.
