Thank you all for understanding the importance of safety in our parking lots.  We have had a lot of extra help with our teachers, so we can make sure our students are safe.  Please remember to pull up to the curb, don’t park in the drop off/ pick up zone and leave your car, and please don’t ask your child to go through the parking lot to meet you without using the crosswalk.

Our School Carnival is next Monday, September 20, 2021 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.  Please see the attached flyer for more information and this from the PTA:   Just another week until carnival and attached is some updated information as well as the pre-order form you will need for ticket sales beginning 9/15.

Our positivity focus this week is to always try to find something positive even in difficult situations.  A positive attitude can change anything.  Here is an article if you are interested on how to create a positive attitude by creating a positive environment:

Stronger Families Program is a free 9-week educational, family-based program to improve the quality of family life. We are providing these 9 family classes for families in the community or in this case we are reaching out to the children and their families that attend Orem Elementary. These classes focus on building strength and resilience of families. Such topics include communication skills, positive discipline, problem solving, bonding, and establishing Family Values. Sessions begin September 13th and are held one evening per week through November 15th. Classes include families as a whole and others based on age category. There will be a class for children, for teenagers, and for parents. We also provide both English and Spanish classes. Once again this will be a 100% FREE program for families who register. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

For families who are connected on Facebook our page is at “Utah Valley University Stronger Families Project” or @UVUStrongerFamiliesProject/.

Have a Wonderful Week!
