April 26, 2021

Welcome to a rainy Monday OES Families,

Our Mindful Minute Mantra this week is: “I Love Tackling a New Skill”. Our word of the week is: Undertake: To embark on, to begin.

This week we are celebrating our Teacher’s of the Year (PTA and School), our Classified Employee of the year as well as our Volunteer of the year. They are the following:

Teachers of the Year: Robin Cameron, Lisa Tanner

Classified Employee of the Year: Kim Strong

Volunteer of the Year: Steph Scott

Our Talent Show will be virtual this year. The following is a message from Mrs. Hancock:

Share Your Talents for our OES Virtual Talent Show 2021. Please submit your video to Mrs. Carter Due May 7 by 5:00 p.m. ([email protected])

Remember, the video can be no more than 2 min. in length. All students are invited to participate. Any talents that show your creativity!

The combined video will be posted on the school website at the end of the year.

Maturation for our 5th grade students will be done virtually this year. If you have a 5th grade student, your child will be coming home with an informational/consent form today. Parents will need to sign the form and send it back to the school. Parents who consent for the Maturation Instruction will receive a link for the videos created by the district for this part of the 5th grade curriculum. Videos will be sent to parents who give permission on May 10, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact the school.

The following is a message from the PTA:

Last chance to guarantee your 2020-2021 yearbook. Please order now through our website. https://oremelememtary.memberhub.store/store

Also, next Thursday, May 6th is the last day of home reading. Anyone who turns in their books will receive a prize, and the class who returns all of their books first will get a pizza party.

Have a great week!
