September 19, 2019

I’m sending out a final reminder that tomorrow is our Walk to School Day and our Evacuation Drill.

Walk to School Day:

Please see the link for the meeting places. We have teachers meeting at the various markers on the map. The students who plan to meet and walk at 400 South and 1200 West, we will be leaving that spot around 7:35am. Other meeting spots will leave at later times in relation to the distance from the school.

I realize that tomorrow’s weather may not cooperate with our Walk to School Day. Our school is a walking school, so we promote Walk to School Day to encourage safety and safe routes to school. Participating in this event is optional. If there is danger with thunderstorms and torrential rains, we understand that walking to school may not be an option tomorrow. Please use your discretion by choosing the safest way to get your child/children to school tomorrow.

We will have Willy the Wolverine, the mascot from UVU as well as cheerleaders from UVU to help celebrate. All of the celebrations will be at the front of the school.

Evacuation Drill:

After the Walk to School celebrations, our AM common day will run as normal. We will have our evacuation drill that afternoon. Parents and guardians should be at the school at 2:00pm (in the back of the school) to pick up their children. Thank you for your patience. Each year we do this, we get better and better.

Thank you for your support. Please make sure your child’s Skyward account it up to date and remember that anyone picking up a child needs to bring a picture ID.
