New Principal’s Introduction
Dear Parents and Students of Orem Elementary,
My name is Andrea Park and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of the OES team. I worked as a teacher in the Alpine School District for 13 years. During that time I taught 3rd – 6th grade and loved every minute of it. After that I served for two years as an intern coach and as the TSA (teacher on special assignment/assistant principal) at Ridgeline Elementary in Highland. My position as a TSA was wonderful because I was able to work with students and teachers on every grade level.
During my career in education, the children have always been the greatest joy and focal point for me. I am excited to see the great things that can happen at Orem Elementary and look forward to continuing the great traditions that make students feel safe, secure, and important. I strongly believe that when students feel confident at school, real academic achievement will take place.
Aside from my love of teaching, I have a great love for my family. I am married and have two grown daughters. Even though my girls don’t live at home anymore, I have many furry and feathered children who live with me. I enjoy my dogs, horses, chickens, cats and a parrot. When I’m not playing with my animals, I like to run, hike, ski, scuba dive and go to baseball games. I am so excited to work with everyone at OES.
