My name is Andrea Park and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the OES team. I have been a teacher in the Alpine School District for the last 13 years. During that time I have taught 3rd – 6th grade and loved every minute of it. For the past two years I served as an intern coach and as the TSA (teacher on special assignment/assistant principal) at Ridgeline Elementary in Highland.
My position the last two years has been wonderful because I have been able to work with students and teachers on every grade level. During my career in education, the children have always been the greatest joy and focal point for me. I am excited to see the great things that are happening at Orem Elementary and look forward to continuing the great traditions that make students feel safe, secure and important. I strongly believe that when students feel confident at school, real academic achievement will take place.
Aside from my love of teaching, I have a great love for my family. I am married and have two grown daughters. Even though my girls don’t live at home anymore, I have many furry and feathered children who live with me. I enjoy my dogs, horses, chickens, cats and a parrot. When I’m not playing with my animals, I like to run, hike, ski, scuba dive and go to baseball games. I am so excited to meet and work with everyone at OES.
