An accident on northbound I-15 in the Lindon area has caused significant delays on the freeway and artery roads.
This road closure will impact busing throughout the district. We anticipate bus delays at multiple schools, including activity buses.
All routes will be completed, but it is unknown how long this will take.

The SECURE protocol at the following schools has been lifted:
Lakeridge Junior High
Cherry Hill Elementary
Vineyard Elementary
Law enforcement will assist with a controlled release at Lakeridge Junior High.
At Cherry Hill and Vineyard, parents are free to pick up their students as normal.
Orem Elementary and Westmore Elementary will remain on a SECURE status until the normal release time at 3:30.
We appreciate the cooperation of our law enforcement partners to help us keep our students safe.
Earlier today, a shooting was reported at Utah Valley University and as a result five schools (Lakeridge Junior High, Westmore Elementary, Orem Elementary, Cherry Hill Elementary, and Vineyard Elementary) were placed in a SECURE protocol, which means we have brought everyone inside, locked exterior doors, and accounted for all students.
The UVU Command Center is in charge of the situation. Our school administrators are following their direction.
We don’t know when the SECURE protocol will be lifted. This means that students at Lakeridge will not be released at the normal time.
Buses will be available when it is safe for students to be released.

Mark your calendars for Back To School night.
