Principal’s Message – February 6th
Good Afternoon OES Families,
February is filled with some great activities for our students and families.
Our book fair was supposed to begin today, but we are postponing its opening until tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience.
This week we have our “Student Lead” conferences. They are on Wednesday, Feb. 7th and Thursday, Feb. 8th, 2018. Because they are student lead, you do not need to schedule an appointment. You can stop by your child’s classroom to celebrate their learning on these days from 4:00pm – 5:30pm and then again from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
This week is also our Box Top Drive week. Please send in any Box Tops to your child’s teacher.
Feb. 13, 2018 – is Prize Day for those participating in our Home Reading Program.
Feb. 19, 2018 is Presidents Day – there is no school this day.
Feb. 20th -22nd, 2018 will be when students are participating in our Story Telling Festival in their classrooms.
Feb. 26, 2018 – Story Telling Winners will present their stories in an assembly.
Feb. 26, 2018 – Family Skate night at Classic Skating – 5:30pm.
The following students won at the Council level for PTA Reflections and made it to Regionals: Evey McNaughton, Photography; Hailey Bishop, Literature; Lia Westover, Literature; Brinley Stiles, Literature; Rachel Keen, 2D Art; Luke Hollingshead, Music Composition; Bethany Keen, Dance.
These are the students who had projects which won Reflections at the School level and made it to the Council level: Luke Hollingshead, Brinley Stiles, Dana Stiles, Lia Westover, Bethany Keen, Rachel Keen, Emmet Howse, Elizabeth Anderson, Seth Anderson, London Larsen, Evey McNaughton, Hanna Fullmer, Henry Fullmer, Hailey Bishop, London Heath, Karoline McIntire
Regional awards will be held Feb 6 at 6:30-pm at Lehi Jr High
