Principal’s Message – January 30th
Dear OES Families,
January is about over and the warm weather looks like it will hold out for the rest of the week. Although it’s been a very mild winter, we still have a lot of lost coats in our lost and found. Please check the lost and found if you are missing a jacket, coat, lunchbox or anything else.
January was kind of a quiet month, but we have some great things coming up in February.
This Friday we will have the Maturation Program for our 5th and 6th grade students. Carrie Ann Kemp will be our presenter for our girls and Brad Wilcox will present to the boys.
The first full week in February is our Book Fair. (Feb. 5th – 9th). Mrs. Tanner is still looking for volunteers. Please see attached flyer for more information.
Feb. 7th and 8th, 2018 is our Student Lead Conferences. Teachers will be available on those days from 4:00pm – 5:30pm, we will then break for dinner and resume at 6:00pm – 7:00pm. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher.
United Way of Utah County has a four-week program to help prepare women who have been out of the workforce return to work or make a career transition. The women that participate in the program update their resumes, write cover letters, practice interviewing, start a LinkedIn account, and learn how to use the internet to find a job. Participants also receive a free professional head-shot. If you are interested in this, please see attached flyer.
As we end January – our focus was Inspire, we begin February with our focus of Challenge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_SquYgj7lE
Thank you for your continued support to your children and our teachers.
