Principal’s Message – December 4th

Good Wintery Day OES Families,

Can you believe – if finally snowed?  December is filled with a lot of fun activities.  It is also finally starting to feel like winter.  Please remind your children to wear the proper attire for playing outside in the colder weather.

We have a few safety items to discuss:

  1. All visitor MUST check into the office.  This is very important – even if you are just checking on your student during lunch.
  2. The parking lot is always a concern.  Our children’s safety is really important.  Please do not ask your children to run across the parking lot to your car. Drop off and Pick up are curbside only.  Always error on the safe side and make sure you and your children use crosswalks and look both ways before crossing the street and in the parking lot.

Our Christmas Program is on Dec. 13, 2017.  We will have 2 performances – One at 10:00am and a second at 1:00pm.  Please see attached flyer.

Don’t forget that Dec. 20, 2017 is a PM common day.  Grades 1st – 6th will come from 9:00am – 1:00pm.  There is no school for Kindergarten or Pre-School that day.

We have some great news!  Orem Elementary is starting a children’s choir.  All students in 4th – 6thgrade are invited to participate.  We are just starting this in the middle of the year, therefore, there is no cost for this program at this time. Please see attached flyer for more information.
