Principal’s Message – October 10th
Dear OES Families,
Last week we had our parent/teacher conferences. Thank you to all who came to discuss your child’s education. If you were not able to meet with your child/children’s teacher, please feel free to make an appointment with them.
Next week we are celebrating Red Ribbon Week. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Fall break also begins next week – October 19th – August 23rd there will be no school for students. I hope you will all be able to enjoy the break in a fun and relaxing way.
There is a table in the front lobby that has the Reflection’s Contest information. The theme this year is: “Within Reach”. If you have any questions, you can text Jana Keen @ 801-830-7857. Please see the attached flyer:
Halloween will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017 and it will be a PM COMMON DAY. This means that all students in grades 1st– 6th will come at 9:15am and leave at 3:30pm. Preschool and Kindergarten schedules will remain as usual. When choosing costumes, please remember that no masks,weapons or gory and offensive costumes are allowed. The parade will begin at 2:45pm.
In preparation for our Veterans Day assembly where we will be honoring Veterans, we would like to honor our Veterans in our display case. If your family has someone who is serving or has served in any branch of the military we would like to post a picture of them in the display case. The picture can be of a living or deceased member of your family. If you would like to participate, please bring your colored unframed picture of the family member in uniform (either a 5×7 or and 8×10) to the office with the following information:
