Principal’s Message – May 15th
Good Afternoon OES Families,
We only have 2 weeks left of school. This week we have our Dance Festival on Friday, May 19, 2017. We will be holding 2 performances, the first one will be at 9:30am for the early bird parents and the second will be at 12:45pm for parents of the later gator students. Of course, any parent can come to either performance. We are just trying to make sure there is enough parking for everyone.
We are encouraging the students to come dressed as follows:
Kindergarten – please wear white shirts
1st grade – please wear white shirts and dark pants
2nd grade – please wear white shirts and jeans
3rd grade – please wear dark blue, black or dark purple clothing
4th grade – please come dressed as a pioneer, mountain man or cowboy/cowgirl
5th grade – Girls: button up blouse with a long skirt, dress shoes
Boys: button up shirt, slacks rolled up to knees (to look like knickers), long socks and
6th grade – please wear black shirts and jeans
If you have any questions, please ask your child’s teacher.
Our lost and found is over flowing. We have the items placed in the hallway on tables. Please have your child (or yourself) check to see if you can find any items that you are missing.
Student Council is holding a food drive this week. If you would like to donate, please send canned and non-perishable items to school.
The school talent show will be on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 9:30am.
Sixth grade graduation is on Wednesday May 24, 2017.
Also – please remember that Thursday May 25th is a PM common day. All students in grades 1-6 will come at 9:15am -3:30pm. This is the last day of school for Kindergarten and those students should plan on attending their regularly scheduled time.
Friday, May 26th is the last day of school. This is also a common day. All students (except Kindergarten) will come from 9:15am 0 10:45am.
Have a wonderful week!
